Supreme StoreFront

A former employee of the skateboard and surf brand Stüssy decided to open his own shop because he found the concept exciting behind a streetwear/skate fire. In April 1994, James Jebbia opened the first of the now fifteen shops in the middle of Manhattan, New York. After 4 years, three other locations followed in Tokyo, Osaka and Fukoka, all of which are in Japan. In 2004 the largest store so far came in Los Angeles and in 2011 we got the first European retail space - in London. Even in Germany there is already a supreme store, in Berlin, which opened on November 11, 2021.

Now that we have clarified the basics, let's take a look at the real topic of the blog entry: the collaborations with other brands.

Collaborations (Collabs for short) means working together in German and this has been the case with Supreme.

Nike SB - the beginning

We spurate back to 2002 and Supreme just really picked up speed. Suddenly Nike knocks on the door and would like to work with the skate label long or at short notice. The iconic dark with Elephant Print is still known to be the start of working together various brands. It was completely new at this time and thank God Nike took the step and this was not without any ulterior motive: the sporting goods giant had used this Nike SB Dunk X Supreme as a springboard to create her own skateboarding undermarket. The sneaker came to "Black Cement" and once in "White Cement" and there were only about 500 pairs (250 per colorway)! With the Elephant Print we had a strong resemblance to that Air Jordan 3 patterns that were extremely popular.

It is almost impossible to get one of the shoes and even on Stockx you cost 5000 € - € 7000.

Stone Island X Supreme

Usually Stone Island cannot necessarily be found in the streetwear bubble. But the techonology of some pieces convinced the Supreme designer so much that they worked together for the first time in 2014 and that really strong pieces were brought out. Various jackets, parka and the most viral piece from 2016, a heat -active trench coat. Of course there are many more clothes that can be called because the collaboration continues almost every year. The two brands really harmonize really well!

The most expensive Supreme Piece ever!

The collaboration of the century was launched at the Peak of Hypes in 2017: Louis Vuitton X Supreme. Many were shocked and thought that it was a bad joke, but when the clothes were slowly leaving, it was clear that this would be a very special release. Almost 50 parts were released, including jackets, hoodies and T-shirts, but also luxurious household items such as pajamas, blankets and pillows. The LV Monogram print was paired with the red/white from Supreme and there were great 2 box logo items, even a skateboard!

6 years later, each piece of Collab achieves extreme reselled prices, regardless of the platform. Who knows if the two parties will ever work together again!

London's Finest

The hype has decreased over the past few years, but last year there was another unpredictable collaboration with Burberry! The classic English fashion house wants to change its image for a long time and focus on younger customers. The selection of the pieces went from buffer with shearling collar to box logo shirts and hoodies to jogging pants. With the usual beige tones and fresh blue and pink tones, the collection complements really well from classical and new wind.

Accessories were Buckethats, Caps and even their own skateboarding deck with an iconic pattern.

The North Face

The North Face X Supreme has existed since 2007 and has always been sold out for seconds. In a few years, even 2 drops came to customers a year. With so many clothes, it is of course difficult to choose favorites, but for me the Banm is clearly (by Any Means Necessary) Nupse from the FW'15 season at the forefront. The windbreaker with the world map on it or various Steep-Tech runs are also fleece sweater. As you know TNF, diversity is huge and the products are never boring. From shoes to the well -known Nupse's everything was already there - the two brands will hardly stop!

So these were the most successful collaborations by Supreme, from the early days until 2022!

Since then I am 15 I am a big supreme fan and look at the drop every Thursday today how the fire develops. I have found the past few years rather weak, except for a few pieces, but with the new creative director tremaine Emory (known as Denim Tears from the fire of the same name) truly blooms. It was only recently that there was a really cool cooperation with undercover, a Japanese streetwear fire, where some iconic clothes were brought back to life. The new social media posts are also super cool and you can always see iconic photo shoots with big names in the fashion scene (including Bloodyosiris and Dueycatorze, one of the designers behind (b) Stroy.
