Yes, you've read that correctly. Kilgore designed the AF1 for the model of the Nike Approach hiking shoes. The reason for this is the downward shaft that offers stability without losing flexibility.
High thanks to air soles
The Air Force 1 were the first shoes for basketball players with the Nike Air technology. The soles consist of air -filled chambers that flexibly adapt to your foot while you run and jump. The air-soles elements also reduce bumps, which relieves your joints. Nevertheless, the shoe remains light and is extremely pleasant to wear. No wonder that sports legends like Jeff Ruland and Moses Malone swore on these shoes.
