The success of Air Jordan 1 encouraged Nike to release a new Air Jordan for the new basketball season in 1986. The original Air Jordan II designed by Peter Moore and Bruce Kilgore was unique in that it was produced exclusively in Italy.
The Air Jordan II offers better damping with a polyurethane intermediate sole and a nike-air bubble, which is capsized in full length, for maximum comfort. The Air Jordan II was the first Jordan to have no Nike Swoosh on the surface.
