In 2013, the skateboard/streetwear fire was founded by Jason Dill and Anthony van Engelen. Everything started with an online store here and Dill actually only wanted a skateboard team and decided to use Fucking Awesome as a source of income. In 2019 the first physical store in Los Angeles, at Hollywood Boulevard, was opened. The second store in New York came three years later.
The brand became famous with various controversial shirt prints, shorts and skate decks. Jason Dill experienced a stormy childhood and again and again he experienced setbacks in terms of drug use. He himself said that a skate fire should also be a streetwear fire to survive, see Supreme. FA is more of a "brand with personality disorder" according to Dill. The dark and sometimes also strange view of the view of the fashion world is underlined by printed shirts by dictators.
The Samba has been an integral part of the sneakers scene since last year and we have received several new and OG Colorways from Adidas. Hopefully Adidas will manage to keep the hype alive with the Samba collaborations.
How is the samba built?
At the moment we can only work with one picture, but the starting point is the Klasian silhouette of Adidas Samba. With a completely black leatherupper and laces, the three adidas strips come across with white. The only indication of the cooperation is the embroidered logo at tongue height. Inside the fucking awesome x adidas samba we can also see a black insole with golden adidas and FA lettering.
When will the sneakers come out?
No release date is known yet, but I assume that the fucking Awesome X Adidas Samba will come to shops this year (hopefully in summer).
My opinion on the fucking awesome x adidas samba
The Samba is one of the few classics that come back. With social media and the trend "Blokecore", the sneakers came into the mainstream more and more. Many colorways and cool summer colors make the actual football shoe a perfect all -rounder.
