Nike Snkrs Day 2023

It is finally ready again on September 9th. Nike organizes his annual Snkrs Day again. On this day, all possible overseases, residual socks and various live events will take place. The past few years has always been the Snkrs Day a month earlier, why Nike has now postponed this to September is unclear.

In summer, as usual, the really thick releases come and there are always great colorways for every model.

How is the process?

In 2023 there will be Restocks like normal on the Snkrs App, but like a few years ago live events with retailers like BStN.

In our hometown in Munich, for example, an unknown Air Jordan 4 Gerestocked, at BStn in the City. I hope for a SB Pine Green, because I still lack it in the collection and I am reluctant to pay reselled.

You can find the shop near the university in Amalienstraße 44, so you can easily get there by public transport. BStN is part of every release and I was able to pick up a sneaker one or the other time.

Which sneakers are in the Snkrs Day?

Like the past few years, there will probably be surprise drops in the app over the day, so be ready for the notifications! Hopefully a few Travis ’Jordans or a cool SB Dunk will be grown, I would celebrate that extremely.

But do we get away from the theory, which sneakers come 100%?

As a starting shot, we can welcome the Air Max 1 '86 World Make Korea at 9 a.m. At first I thought that the sneaker would only be available for Asia, but we received confirmation for a worldwide release directly from Nike. With a very clean, white/beige colorway, the day starts really well. The simple design with black connecting points comes across super and that  Air Max 1 '86 World Make Korea does not seem overloaded.

At 10:30 a.m. it continues violently with my personal favorite of the Snkrs Day 2023: the Air Jordan 1 Low Make Japan or Sashiko. I am an absolute fan of processing on the shoe and generally simply a big fan of art of the art of Sashiko. The term originally comes from Japan and this is a textile decorative technique. This means that motifs are generated through so -called front stitches. This technology was actually used to improve defective clothing.

On 9.9. At 12:30 p.m. the Nike Dunk Vintage Navy should come to the app, as a small goodie. In fact, that was the first sneaker that we received confirmed.  So Nike continues the vintage rail, which is good for me personally and is probably also welcome with you. The sneaker consists of a white base and navy blue details such as the Nike Swoosh and the various panels. We find the vintage aspect on the slightly yellowish rubber sole and the laces that have the same look. The structure of the Nike Dunk Vintage Navy also looks a little crumpled and worn, really a great sneaker!

It continues directly with another silhouette, the Air Max Plus in the Colorway Pure Platinum is at 2:00 p.m. The shark nikes come with a specially constructed Mudguard made of suede, which gives the sneaker much class. The light brown was combined with a platinum -colored upper to create an overall solid everyday sneaker.

Not quite mine, but not because of the colors, but because I'm just not a big fan of the silhouette. The Air Max Plus Pure Platinum still looks really nice and fits perfectly in the Snkrs Day!

Last but not least, the most questionable sneaker of the special day comes at Nike at 3:00 p.m. The Air Footscape Woven was released on the market for the first time in 1996 and has been trendy from time to time, which I can hardly believe. Sure, tastes are different, but my case is absolutely not the sneaker. Not even the Colorway has been chosen for the width, with a giraffe pattern and white stick I am unsure whether I will see it in the wild.

So! So these are the releases that will come 100%.

Rumors & wishes

At Hypeneedz we are of course all sneakerheads and, like every year, I asked my colleagues what they would like.

Nike SB Air Jordan 4 Pine Green

When the 4 Series in collaboration with the skate party was leaked, I already knew that I pulled an L with every Raffle. Whenever I absolutely have to have a couple, I cough on every page to enter myself, follow Instagram pages etc. etc. We know it all!

I would find it really strong when some 4 are grated and then hopefully I will not get a L anymore. The combination of the green and the Gums sole simply trigger something in me!

Nike SB X Jarritos Dunk Low

The sneaker, who was desired in the second side, was the Nike Dunk in collaboration with Jarritos. In the resell, the shoe has shot up, which is why, as a more normal mortal, you can never justify such a price.

Cleaner Colorway and especially a SB Dunk - this is a tried and tested combination that reaches everyone.

My personal wish: Air Jordan 1 High Rhyming

I want that Air Jordan 1 likes to be a double up because it is just really blatant. The Chicago Colorway in connection with the vintage vibe of the Reimagined series was done to me and whenever I look at the sneaker, I feel like in good old days. Pure nostalgia.

How did it work in the previous years?

For the 5th birthday of the Snkrs Day, Nike came up with a lot: there were long livestreams and in Berlin, Paris and London there were their own events just because of the day. Various retailers had rebuilt everything for the Snkrs Day and exhibited extra different classics, you could also buy the special releases. I was on my cell phone all day and tried to find information about new releases or residual socks, unfortunately in vain. Nike wanted to focus on new releases that went out via Shock Drops and push notifications. There was that Air Jordan 4 "Canyon Purple", the Nike Air Jordan 1 "Taxi", the Snkrs Day Air Force 1 and another Nike Air Max in the yellow/white colorway.

My conclusion

As a sneakerhead, the Snkrs Day is always something special and actually I got at least a few every year that was limited - be it a rest stop or even a new release, I would look at everything.

This year I threw my eye on Sashiko and hope that I can get it easy too.

We are also at the start at BStN in Munich, so say hello if you are there too!
