At the end of last year in winter, Drake and his son were spotted at a Raptors NBA game with the Nike X Nocta Glide Sneakers. Since then we have been looking for more information for the shoe. The collaboration between the two brands combines Nike's performance with streetwear elements that only has Nocta.
In this blog we take a closer look at the Nike X Nocta Glide, which is supposed to come in two different colorways.
What do the sneakers look like?
The Nike X Nocta Glide is the result of a perfect symbiosis between sport and fashion. As the first colorway, we have a mixture of a black and gray color gradient. The glide is covered with black mesh in the middle and the sneaker looks like a racing car on the side, with a gray/black pattern. A Nike Swoosh was embroidered in the back of the back in the middle of light white and stands out nicely. The lacing system is also quite interesting, here was attached to rubber patches with a white border in addition to the holes at a certain distance "Nike". Small Nocta and Nike logos are glued on on the tongue and at the beginning of the tobox. On the back we have a pull tab with gray details, matching the side color of the Nike X Nocta Glides. The new "G-Tet" technology was integrated into the rubber sole and upgraded with the same pattern as on the side. Furthermore, we still have an ice blue, transparent sole underneath. Inside the sneaker we find the Nocta and Nike Logo on a leather patch on a leather patch, where the heel is located.
The second colorway has not yet been officially confirmed and so far no pictures have appeared - you can recognize the Nike X Nocta Glide in white on the cover picture (left). Here only the middle part was changed in color.
Release information
Already in 2022, Drake has the Nike X Nocta Glide for the first time and we hope that the sneaker will be released this year. You can then get the shoe from Snkrs via app or from different retailers.
My conclusion
With the Nike X Nocta Glide we get a really cool sneaker! As always, the collaboration between Nike and Nocta fits perfectly and the shoe is probably not as hyped as the other silhouettes, but it will certainly go away well. I like the ice blue sole and the many details that you can see. The pattern somehow reminds me of a racing car and with baggy jeans or trackies the Nike X Nocta Glide will be a really cool sneaker for certain outfits.
